Icelandic sheepskins seldom ever come in uniform shapes so a simple length x width doesn’t offer a clear picture. It’s best to look at the picture of the back of the sheepskin to get a clear view of the shape.
The first measurement we offer is the longest point on the sheepskin. This is nearly always diagonal. Note below.

The next measurement is the height. Note the picture below. These three photos are of the same sheepskin.

The final measurement is noted width. This is the widest point of the sheepskin. Note the picture below.

If you are looking at a sheepskin with a highly irregular shape then other measurements may be noted.
